        Head's Welcome       

Hello and welcome to Old Sodbury's website.  I hope it will give you a little insight into the special and uniqueness of our small village school and its place within the heart of the local community.

This is an exciting period of change and development for Old Sodbury Primary as staff, parents and governors work towards a new vision and direction for the school, always striving to ensure that the children here have a wealth of wonderful memories and experiences to look back upon with affection and fondness.

We believe whole heartedly in the education of the whole child, celebrating their uniqueness, developing their strengths and interests, building their confidence and self-esteem in preparation for adult life.

Our strong Christian ethos ensures that the children at Old Sodbury understand the importance of forgiveness and love and respect for each other. Our commited and dedicated staff ensure that each child is loved and cared for in a warm, supportive, safe and secure environment.

We have many achievements and developments to be proud of at Old Sodbury.  We are particularly excited about 'Forest Schools', our use of our woodland/forest area at the back of our school grounds for both play and education.

We also celebrate and embrace the performing arts at Old Sodbury, recognising and understanding its importance in developing children's confidence and self-esteem.

There are many wonderful things and special people working in and visiting our school.  We have so much to be proud of but you really need to visit to appreciate Old Sodbury's warm, friendly and caring nature.
