This term PE will be on a Monday and a Thursday doing multi-skills. Please could all children come to school in their PE kits on these days.

Times Table Rockstars- Please use times table rockstars at least 3 times week. see Times table Rockstars Support
English- Set weekly based on our class learning on a Thursday and due in on a Tuesday in English Homework book.
Spellings- Will come out in English homework books and will be tested on a Friday. Children will have a folder with a look, cover, write, check sheet to complete to aid learning.
Maths- Set weekly based on our class learning on a Thursday and due in on a Tuesday in maths Homework book.
Mission- Choose one or more of the extra mission activities to complete at home. Please email photos of your work that you would like to share with the class.

Our class mission question: What can we learn about the ancient Maya from the buildings they left behind?
This week Oak class have been writing Remembrance poems.
The children have been looking at bibles this week and learning how to find the chapter and verses they are looking for.
Each child created a wanted poster to find the Messiah after reading parts from the prophets Isaiah and Micah from the Old Testament
We have been learning about the Maya beliefs this week. The children were fascinated!
We learnt about the creation story; life after death; the Gods and Goddesses and the gruesome rituals!
This week Oak class have been making Maya headdresses
In D&T, Oak class have been learning about frame structures. In groups the children made bird boxes to put up around the school.
For many children this was the first time having to measure accurately, use saws and assemble their finished design. The children should be really proud of their work!
