Ethos committee
The Ethos committee at Old Sodbury CE School work very hard to maintain and improve the school's Christian distinctiveness. There are members of the governing body (foundation governors), parents and church representatives on this committee. As we are a Church school we have to continue to work to improve our links with the church and consider regularly our Christian school values and school ethos.
COURAGE | Courage to try new things, take risks and use imagination and creativity through the promotion of our arts, forest and STEM curriculum. |
COMPASSION | Compassion and a desire to act to make a difference, to empathise with the feelings and actions of others through the promotion of our PSHE, RE curriculum, charity and family support work. |
FORGIVENESS | To be united together in friendship in a partnership of shared experiences, talents, interests and enthusiasms through the promotion of our schools alliance, sport and enrichment curriculum. Strengthening friendships with our local and global community through the promotion of our work with the church and dementia care. |
FRIENDSHIP | An understanding that with forgiveness comes the power to change the future. Recognising consequences of actions and behaviours through the promotion of our thrive, ELSA, sand tray and nurture curriculum. |
